As with our links, trying to direct writers, new and old, to resources that may be useful, we will occasionally post links to content in other magazines that we deem important, interesting or useful for all writers. With that in mind, we direct you to an essay by Tim O’Brien that appeared in the 2009 fiction edition of The Atlantic. The essay deals with the nature of writing and imagination, and loosely touches on the concepts of magical realism. It’s a must-read for any young writer.
