While I think there is a lot of great work in this debut issue, I especially loved the small piece by Wesley Moerbe. I'm currently reading Regeneration, a Brit novel focused on the reactions of soldiers to WWI, and this made me think of that as a literary work. I especially like the simple, heart-felt reaction to the journal entry, the way it is framed without much commentary. Just enough. Just enough for me to be sitting in that chair, too. That's brilliant.
